About Wax Poetic Candle Bar

Wax Poetic was founded by Jill Bromley-Sung and opened its doors in November 2017.

Its beginnings go back to 2015 when Jill began pouring her own candles in a studio she built next to her home.

At the time, she managed a women’s specialty retail boutique. Unable to find something unique to do for a team outing, she invited the staff to her home to create candles together.

It was such a fun bonding experience that an idea began to form: she would launch a business where others could pour their own candles together in a cozy, creative space.

Wax Poetic began experiencing supply chain issues and we discovered a lack of transparency from suppliers regarding ingredients. Jill felt it was time for Wax Poetic to find their own sources, and work directly with manufacturers. This laid the groundwork for Jill to start an oil supply business; a membership-based wholesale fragrance oil site based out of Grand Rapids.

Wax Poetic is proud to be a female owned and operated business, and we are so happy that Grand Rapids is our home!
